The lifeless body of Eren Öztürk, a fourth-year student in the Department of Computer Engineering at Sivas Cumhuriyet University's Faculty of Engineering, was found in the KYK dormitory where he resided.
In the incident that occurred at the İzzettin Keykavus KYK Male Student Dormitory located within the university campus, relatives who could not reach Eren Öztürk notified 112.
Police teams arriving at the dormitory found Öztürk lying motionless in the bathroom. After the examination by medical teams arriving at the scene, it was determined that Eren Öztürk had passed away.
Öztürk's body was taken to the Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine Morgue for autopsy procedures.
Authorities are continuing their investigation.
