According to data from AFAD, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Göksun district of Kahramanmaraş yesterday at 16:19. The tremor, which was also felt in surrounding provinces, caused brief panic.
Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made a statement regarding the 4.2 magnitude earthquake on his social media account.
Drawing attention to the February 6 earthquakes, Görür stated, "Friends, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake in Karaömer-Göksun/Kahramanmaraş. It is located near the intersection zone of the left-lateral, strike-slip Çardak Fault Zone and the Savrun Fault Zone. These are areas that did not rupture during the February 6 earthquakes. It is within the influence area of the Adana Basin."
