Naci Görür issues warning following Tunceli earthquake

Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made the following statement after the 4.2 magnitude earthquake in Tunceli: "As you know, this earthquake occurred on the Yedisu Fault, which we fear the most and have been drawing attention to. This fault is ready to break and produce an earthquake above 7. I have been drawing attention to Tunceli and Pülümür for some time."

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Pülümür district of Tunceli at 16:28. The earthquake took place at a depth of 8.7 kilometers.

Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made statements on his social media platform following the alarming earthquake.

Görür stated the following:

"Friends, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in Süleymanuşağı, Pülümür (Tunceli). As you know, this earthquake occurred on the Yedisu Fault, which we fear the most and have been drawing attention to. This fault is ready to break and produce an earthquake above 7.

I have been drawing attention to Tunceli and Pülümür for some time. I even mentioned it just this morning. Attention must be paid to the residential areas in this region, and necessary precautions must be taken. We want earthquake-resistant cities, with love."
