Naci Görür reveals the region he is most worried about! 'Its time to produce an earthquake has passed...'

Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made important warnings on the Meslek Sırrı (Professional Secret) program on Asena Kılıç's YouTube channel.

"WE WARNED THEM REPEATEDLY BUT NOTHING WAS DONE"

Görür said the following:

"We said it many times, but we couldn't convince anyone. After the December 24, 2020 Elazığ earthquake, we explained that 'an earthquake could occur in Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, and Hatay. Take precautions for an earthquake of this magnitude.' Because the Elazığ earthquake put that area in danger through stress transfer. We wrote reports to the government. We could see the earthquake coming. We made the necessary warnings more than enough. From the Presidency to the ministers, to the deputies, mayors, and governors of that region, we said 'an earthquake could hit here, prepare the cities,' but nothing was done."

"WE ARE SCREAMING FOR MARMARA AND ISTANBUL"

"We are screaming, pay attention to Marmara and Istanbul, prepare for an earthquake. They didn't pay attention before February 6, and we buried more than 50 thousand of our people in one night. We are saying take precautions in Marmara so that the February 6 earthquakes do not repeat. We are screaming so that our people do not die. But neither the political will nor our public cares. I am afraid that history will repeat itself."

"THE PLACE I AM MOST WORRIED ABOUT..."

"The Tunceli region; the area between Erzincan and Bingöl-Karlıova is the place we are worried about. Its earthquake recurrence period has passed, it has reached a dangerous state. Its time to produce an earthquake has passed."

Answering the question, "Is the Marmara earthquake closer or the expected earthquake in Tunceli?" Görür said, "It is difficult to predict that, but the Marmara region and the Tunceli area are points we need to pay attention to. Strategically, those are the places we should intervene in first. What we are saying is that these places must be made earthquake-resistant."

"WE CANNOT STOP THE EARTHQUAKE"

Providing information that earthquakes have been continuing in the geography where Turkey is located for 13 million years, Görür said, "Since this mechanism is working, earthquakes will continue in this geography for millions of years. If we are going to live in this geography, if we have made this our home, and if we do not want to bury thousands of our people in the ground in one night, we will make the places we live in earthquake-resistant. Because we cannot stop the earthquake."
