Sharing a post about the 4.0 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Düzce, Naci Görür evaluated the earthquake's impact on the Marmara Region.

Görür stated, "Theoretically, a certain amount of stress transfer to the Marmara may have occurred from this earthquake, but since it is a small earthquake, I do not think it is very significant."

Görür also provided a more detailed response while noting, "A 4.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in Yıldıztepe-Gümüşova/Düzce. The earthquake is between two NE-SW trending faults extending from the northern branch of the NAF towards Sarıdere and Yongalık." In his final message, Görür conveyed the following:

"After I posted my message, many friends are asking whether it triggers an earthquake in the Marmara. One friend was also worried because I did not end my message with 'with love.' I wish you would show this same sensitivity towards earthquakes regarding 'earthquake-resistant cities' and be more demanding. Theoretically, a certain amount of stress transfer to the Marmara may have occurred from this earthquake, but since it is a small earthquake, I do not think it is very significant."
