Earthquake expert Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made statements on X following the 4.4-magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Pütürge district of Malatya.

Görür stated the following:

"Friends, a 4.4 earthquake occurred yesterday in Balpınar, Pütürge, Malatya. This earthquake took place on the East Anatolian Fault (DAF), which was largely ruptured during the February 6 earthquakes. In a sense, it can be considered an aftershock. It can also be said that the earthquake occurred due to stress loading in this region during the major earthquakes."
