The answer to the burning question in the Narin Güran murder case has arrived. Confessor Nevzat Bahtiyar has revealed who the killer is. According to Bahtiyar's latest statement, Narin saw her mother and uncle Salim Güran in an affair, after which her uncle Salim Güran killed the young girl.

Stating that he would explain everything regarding the murder of 8-year-old Narin, the imprisoned confessor Nevzat Bahtiyar was brought from prison to the courthouse. Bahtiyar changed some of his previous statements, saying, "Salim was threatening me."

CONFIRMS 'AFFAIR WITH MOTHER' ALLEGATION

Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later, had been killed on the day she went missing, according to the Forensic Medicine report. Many allegations were made regarding how Narin was killed. One of these was that there was an affair between her uncle Güran and Narin's mother, Yüksel Güran, and that Narin was killed after witnessing this affair. In his latest statement, where he claimed that the killer was Salim Güran, confessor Nevzat Bahtiyar confirmed this allegation.

"SALIM CALLED ME TO HIS HOUSE, I SAW NARIN LYING MOTIONLESS ON THE FLOOR"

Bahtiyar's new statement contained new details that shed light on the murder. Bahtiyar claimed that the killer was Narin's imprisoned uncle, the village headman Salim Güran. As reported by Sözcü, Bahtiyar described the Narin murder in his statement as follows:

"I described some events differently due to the heat of the moment and Salim's threats. I want to clarify this.

On August 21, the day the girl was suffocated, I called Salim Güran at 15:08 regarding a water issue. Salim called me over to him, shouting from the hill where his brother Arif's house is located. Together with Salim, we entered Arif's house. The doors of all rooms except one were closed.

I did not see anyone inside the house, including her mother Yüksel, Enes, Eren, and Muhammed Güran. Since I did not hear any sound, I do not know whether they were in the rooms or not.

When Salim took me to one of the rooms on the left, I saw Narin lying motionless on the floor. As far as I remember, there was a foam-like liquid in Narin's mouth.

Salim said to me, 'I killed this girl because she saw that I was with Yüksel. Now you are my accomplice too. Since you witnessed this event, you will dispose of this body. Otherwise, I will have your son taken from the football school he attends and have him shot in the head. Get rid of this, and afterwards, I will give you 200 thousand liras.'

Then, Salim and I placed the body into a blanket together. After Salim handed me the body, I left the house with the body."

"NARIN'S MOTHER CRIED AFTER US"

Confessor Bahtiyar continued his words as follows:

"Narin's slippers were in front of the door. Upon Salim's instruction, I took them as well, put them inside the blanket, and then went towards my house to leave them in my vehicle. First, I left the body in my barn through the window. Then, I hurriedly pulled a sack over the body's head in the barn. However, I had not tied the sack. Then I left the body on the floor mat of the back seat of my own vehicle. I gave the blanket to Salim, who was following me in his vehicle.

Salim put the blanket in his own vehicle. He told me, 'Dismember the body if necessary, then throw it into the Eğertutmaz stream.' At that moment, when I looked upwards, towards Arif Güran's house, I saw Narin's mother, Yüksel, holding her face in her hands and looking on while crying.

I took the body to the Eğertutmaz stream and left it at the place where I had previously performed the site demonstration. I also placed a large stone on top of it so it would not attract attention."

"SALIM HANDED THE BODY TO ME, I LEFT IT IN THE STREAM"

Nevzat Bahtiyar expressed how he left the body in the stream as follows:

"One of Narin's feet had remained outside the sack. Because I did it in a hurry and in a panic, I could not tie it and could not fix it. Then I left the scene. I did not meet with Salim face-to-face or by phone after the incident.

A few days later, when we met on the road, he greeted me with a nod. I do not know if Salim saw the place where I left the body. However, the Eğertutmaz stream is clearly visible from the high parts of the village.

For this reason, Salim may have followed me from behind and seen where I left the body. The incident happened exactly like this. However, I definitely did not kill Narin. I only left her in the Eğertutmaz stream because Salim handed the body over to me."
