National Defense Minister Güler speaks out on terror attack

In his statement regarding the terror attack in Ankara, Güler wished a speedy recovery to the heroic police officers who thwarted the attack and conveyed his best wishes to the Ministry of Interior community.

Güler, who also expressed his condolences to the family of veterinary health technician Mikail Bozlağan, who was murdered by the terrorists, and prayed for God's mercy upon him, emphasized that the Turkish Armed Forces' stance against terrorism has remained unchanged and based on the same principles since the first day. Minister Güler stated the following:

"As you are aware, a terror attack took place in front of our Ministry of Interior on Sunday. Our heroic police officers responded to this attempt immediately and neutralized both terrorists. On this occasion, I wish a speedy recovery to our wounded heroic police officers and extend my best wishes to our entire Ministry of Interior community. Furthermore, I pray for God's mercy upon our brother Mikail Bozlağan, who was martyred by treacherous terrorists in Kayseri, and I extend my patience to his grieving family and my condolences to our noble nation.

As the Turkish Armed Forces, our stance against terrorism has continued with the same principles, unchanged since the first day. As a result of the work carried out by our relevant units, it has been determined that the 2 terrorists were members of the PKK/KCK, PYD/YPG and that they came from Syria to carry out this act.

First and foremost, we want everyone to know that all facilities and activities of the PKK/KCK, PYD/YPG in Syria and Iraq will continue to be our legitimate targets, just as they have been until today.

Until the blood-stained terrorists are wiped off the face of this geography, our fight against terrorism will continue with increasing intensity, determination, and resolve."
