National Lottery jackpot ticket sold by mobile vendor

Serkan Biberci, a mobile vendor selling National Lottery tickets in the Bergama district of İzmir, expressed his great joy at having sold one of the three tickets that hit the jackpot, though he noted that the ticket he kept for himself did not win. Biberci stated that he is proud to have helped someone win the prize in such a short time.

The 48-year-old Biberci, who began working as a mobile vendor for the National Lottery after retiring, is enjoying the joy of selling one of the three quarter-tickets that won the jackpot. Biberci, who sells tickets from his mobile stand on Cumhuriyet Street, told an AA reporter that he started working as a mobile National Lottery vendor 3 months ago.

NATIONAL LOTTERY OFFICIALS CALLED

Stating that he was excited when he heard that the jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Bergama, Biberci expressed that National Lottery officials called him to congratulate him for selling the lucky ticket.

Emphasizing that he has been selling tickets for a very short time, Biberci said, "I started working as a mobile vendor 3 months ago. It is beautiful and gratifying that it happened in this period and in Bergama. We congratulate the lucky winner to whom I sold the ticket. It is a perfect feeling to help someone win a prize in the sales I started 3 months ago."

Noting that he broke the perception that "the jackpot only goes to fixed vendors" or "a winning ticket never comes out of Bergama," Biberci said, "I don't think the person who bought the ticket will reveal themselves immediately. We are here; hopefully, the winner will see us too. I sold around 1,400 New Year's Eve tickets worth 150 thousand liras for the New Year. I set aside a ticket for myself, but unfortunately, it didn't win."
