National Security Council convenes: Syria is on the table

The National Security Council has convened under the chairmanship of President Erdoğan to discuss developments in Syria and the region.

At the meeting, where the main agenda will be the developments in Syria, it is also expected that initiatives to enhance the capabilities and resources of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) will be discussed.

The progress of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and accompanying jihadist groups in Syria, along with the latest developments in the region, will be examined. The potential threat of migration will also be among the topics on the table.
