Natural gas pipeline explodes in Kocaeli

A natural gas pipeline exploded during infrastructure work in the İzmit district of Kocaeli. The fire caused by the explosion burned the roof of a single-story house. Two people who were trying to escape the house were injured. 

The natural gas pipeline exploded during infrastructure work being carried out on Maslak Street in the Cedit neighborhood of İzmit.

In the fire that broke out following the explosion, Mustafa Ç. and his wife Ayşe Ç. were slightly injured while attempting to exit the house. 

The house sustained damage due to the fire. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
