Natural gas poisoning in Manisa

In the Yunusemre district of Manisa, 2 sisters have lost their lives in an incident suspected to be natural gas poisoning. 

Mother Tayyibe L. (40) discovered her daughters lying motionless on the floor of their home in the Atatürk neighborhood, where they had moved 3 days ago, and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Police, medical teams, and natural gas crews arrived at the scene in a short time. Upon examination, medical teams determined that Ayşe (16) and Leman Nur Yalçın (22) had passed away. The bodies of Ayşe and Leman Nur Yalçın, who are suspected to have been poisoned by natural gas, were taken to the Manisa Merkez Efendi State Hospital Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy. It was learned that following the incident, measurements taken by natural gas crews using equipment detected a high concentration of gas in the kitchen area of the house.  An investigation into the incident has been launched.
