According to statements from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the organized crime structure led by Necati Arabacı was managing a vast drug trafficking network across Europe, South America, and Asia.
The statement from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office included striking details regarding the organization's activities. The criminal group was linked to the successful seizure of 100 kilograms of cannabis in Germany, 890 kilograms of cocaine in Brazil, and 84 kilograms and 400 grams of cannabis in Spain. Data regarding these drug quantities and operations were identified during investigations into encrypted communication applications.
The statements emphasized that the organization led by Necati Arabacı was notable not only for drug trafficking but also for its violent acts. The organization was involved in crimes such as torture and murder due to disputes arising from drug trade. Furthermore, it was stated that the group regularly collected protection money to provide financial resources for the organization, and the income obtained was used for organizational activities.
5 SUSPECTS DETAINED IN SIMULTANEOUS OPERATIONS
As a result of operations carried out simultaneously today in the provinces of Istanbul, İzmir, and Tunceli, 5 suspects were detained. During the raids, the organization's assets were also seized. A total of 780 million lira in assets, including 22 properties, 7 motor vehicles, and 8 company partnership shares, were confiscated.
