New appointment to the General Directorate of the Press Advertising Agency

According to the appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Abdulkadir Çay has been appointed as the General Manager of the Press Advertising Agency. Çay had been serving as the General Manager within the SETA Foundation since 2013.

WHO IS ABDÜLKADİR ÇAY?

Graduating from the Department of Public Administration at Sakarya University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 2000, Çay has taken an active role in non-governmental organizations since his high school years. In 2013, he was appointed as General Manager by the Board of Directors during the restructuring process at the SETA Foundation. After continuing this role until 2017, he became the General Manager of the Turkey Youth and Education Service Foundation (TÜRGEV). In 2019, he was appointed as a trustee board member to the Akasya Group of Companies, which was seized on the grounds of having links to FETÖ. Married and a father of 3, Çay had also previously come to the agenda with reports from SETA that allegedly profiled journalists.
