New appointments in Beykoz from Özlem Vural Gürzel, who joined the AKP! She appointed these names as deputy mayors

While Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler remains in custody, new assignments at the municipality have drawn attention following the joining of the AKP by acting mayor Özlem Vural Gürzel. Gürzel has appointed three AKP municipal council members as deputy mayors.

Köseler, who had been held in Silivri Prison for approximately six months as part of investigations into CHP-run municipalities, was released at a hearing on September 4. However, he was re-arrested on September 7 following an objection by the prosecutor's office. During this period, Özlem Vural Gürzel, who has been serving as acting mayor, joined the AKP and received her party pin from AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to a report by Halk TV, following Gürzel's move to the AKP, Beykoz Municipal Council members Ahmet Deliak, Burak Karaçam, and Sedat Altun were appointed as deputy mayors. The Human Resources and Training Directorate has requested that the gross salaries of the three new deputy mayors be determined, effective from the date they assumed their duties.
