New appointments to the Ministries of Justice and Interior

New appointments have been made to the Ministries of Justice and Interior through a decree published in the Official Gazette.

With the Presidential decrees published in the Official Gazette, numerous deputy ministers in the Ministries of Justice and Interior have been dismissed, and new names have been appointed in their place.

Changes in leadership were also made in the governorships of Afyonkarahisar, Uşak, Erzurum, and Gümüşhane.

Significant changes in public administration were implemented with the Presidential appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette dated February 20, 2026. Within the scope of decisions numbered 2026/60, 2026/61, and 2026/62 dated February 19, 2026, both deputy ministers and governors of certain provinces were dismissed and replaced with new appointees.

Under the decision, Deputy Ministers of Justice Ramazan Can, Hurşit Yıldırım, Mehmet Yılmaz, and Niyazi Acar were dismissed. Abdullah Aydoğdu, Burak Ceyhan, Can Tuncay, and Sedat Ayyıldız were appointed to these positions.

In the Ministry of Interior, Deputy Ministers Münir Karaloğlu, Mehmet Sağlam, and Mehmet Aktaş were dismissed. Hakkari Governor Ali Çelik, Afyonkarahisar Governor Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı, and Mehmet Cangir were appointed as deputy ministers.

Furthermore, Uşak Governor Naci Aktaş was appointed as the Governor of Afyonkarahisar, General Director of Population and Citizenship Affairs İbrahim Taşyapan as the Governor of Hakkari, Head of Support Services Department Serdar Kartal as the Governor of Uşak, Gümüşhane Governor Aydın Baruş as the Governor of Erzurum, and Chief Civil Inspector Cevdet Atay as the Governor of Gümüşhane.
