One of the two individuals detained as part of the "bribery" investigation into Seferihisar Municipality in İzmir has been arrested.
In the investigation conducted by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the police procedures have been completed for A.D., the driver of the imprisoned Seferihisar Mayor İsmail Yetişkin, and M.K., the driver of the imprisoned deputy mayor G.P., who were detained on allegations of "mediating bribery."
Following their procedures at the Provincial Security Directorate's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch, the suspects were referred to the courthouse, where M.K. was arrested by the judge on duty. A judicial control decision in the form of house arrest was imposed on A.D.
As part of the investigation, 25 people, including Seferihisar Mayor İsmail Yetişkin, Balçova Mayor Onur Yiğit, and Seferihisar deputy mayors G.P., N.H., and İ.K., were previously detained on June 25.

A house arrest order was issued for Balçova Mayor Onur Yiğit, and Yiğit was suspended from his post. Yiğit was later reinstated to his position. A.D. and M.K. were detained by police teams on August 28 as part of the investigation.
