New board of directors takes office at the Oy ve Ötesi Association

The Oy ve Ötesi Association has begun its work with a renewed Board of Directors.

The Oy ve Ötesi Association, a non-governmental organization that aims to develop Turkey's awareness of participatory democracy and support the conduct of election processes in a transparent and lawful manner, has announced the renewal of its Board of Directors. As a result of the association's general assembly, the new principal and substitute members of the Board of Directors were determined.

With the election held, Ertim Orkun assumed the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. Emre Ökten was elected Vice President, İrem Antika as Secretary, and Birce Nevruz as Treasurer. In the new term, Atilla Gündüz, Çağlayan Çavuşoğlu, and Cem Özdeş will also serve as principal members of the Board of Directors. The association has also begun its new working period with the designated substitute members and audit board members.

In his assessment regarding the mission and priorities, the new Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ertim Orkun, stated: “The Oy ve Ötesi Association carries out strong teamwork based on the principle of volunteerism for efforts to strengthen democratic participation and for the reliability of election processes. In the new term, we will continue to contribute by respecting the votes and will of every segment of society, further strengthening this mission.”

Since 2014, the Oy ve Ötesi Association has continued to contribute to democratic processes through volunteer observation in elections, training programs, and transparency-focused reporting activities.
