New campaign from IMM: Public transport will be free for them too

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has added a new group to those benefiting from discounted transport services with a new campaign.

With the latest change made by IMM, which brings various discounts to transport activities through the Istanbulkart used via mobile applications, a new campaign regarding public transport activities to be carried out in Istanbul has been launched.

According to the statement, citizens who pay their parking fees at the Yenikapı Sports and Culture Center İspark parking lot with their Istanbulkart will be eligible for a cash refund for the parking and transport fees they paid if they travel on buses on the PD1 line within the same day.

Istanbulkart holders who wish to benefit from the campaign without any issues must use the PD1 line within 2 hours after their İspark payment to have the credit loaded onto their Istanbul cards.

Istanbulkart holders who use subscription or free services will not be able to benefit from this campaign. Officials also stated that any disruptions caused by system density or delays by Belbim will be resolved quickly.

A maximum of 2 transport rewards can be earned within the same day, and the rewards will be loaded onto Istanbulkarts registered with the same Turkish ID number on the same day. For example, a user who pays a parking fee at Yenikapı İspark on March 1st can receive a refund for 2 PD1 bus trips if they make 2 trips on the PD1 line within the same day.
