New decision regarding 50 TL and 5 TL banknotes published: Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye announces
According to the announcement published by the Central Bank in the Official Gazette, the 8th series 50 TL and 7th series 5 TL banknotes of the E9 Emission Group will be put into circulation starting today.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye has made an official announcement, and a new decision regarding 50 TL and 5 TL banknotes has been published in the Official Gazette.
The announcement included the following statements:
"Based on the authority granted to our Bank by Law No. 1211, the 8th series 50 TL and 7th series 5 TL banknotes of the E9 Emission Group will be put into circulation as of November 19, 2024.
Compared to the previous series of E9 Emission Group banknotes currently in circulation, the signatures on the 8th series 50 TL and 7th series 5 TL banknotes have been rearranged to include the signature of Governor Dr. Fatih Karahan, along with the signature of Deputy Governor Dr. Osman Cevdet Akçay on the 50 TL banknotes and Deputy Governor Prof. Dr. Hatice Karahan on the 5 TL banknotes.
Except for the signatures, these banknotes are identical to the previous series in terms of dimensions, front and back face compositions, and general characteristics and appearance.
The new series of banknotes will be in circulation concurrently with the previous series."
