A decision has been issued to seize the assets of Gökalp İçer, the owner of the ICRYPEX cryptocurrency exchange, who was arrested on charges of supplying drugs and causing the death of lawyer Göksu Çelebi in Istanbul.
According to information reported by Ekol TV, the comprehensive investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office alleges that certain criminal organizations laundered illegally obtained income through foreign currency or crypto assets, integrating them into the financial system. In this context, legal proceedings were initiated against the ICRYPEX cryptocurrency platform on July 30, 2025.
As part of the investigation, a precautionary measure has been placed on all of Gökalp İçer's assets.
