2018 ORDU: ATTEMPTED SUICIDE FOR 'KADIR INANIR'

In 2018, in the Fatsa district of Ordu, Yılmaz Çakır attempted suicide again, stating that he wanted to see actor Kadir İnanır, and was persuaded to give up after a 2-hour effort.

Çakır had described the event as follows:

"I also attempted suicide in Istanbul to meet him, but they tricked me into coming down. They deceived me by saying, 'We are putting you in touch with Kadir İnanır.' I was told he was in his hometown of Fatsa. I collected money to get here immediately. I arrived here and was very sad to see that he was not here. I even named my children after the characters he played in his films. I want to meet him just once. I want to be his shepherd. My admiration for him has been growing since I was a child. If I could meet him face-to-face just once, I would be the happiest person in the world."
