New detentions in operation targeting Uşak Municipality

New detention orders have been issued in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into allegations of corruption and bribery targeting Uşak Municipality.
It was learned that 4 more suspects were detained in Uşak today as part of the ongoing investigation. Including Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım, who was referred to the courthouse today, a total of 17 people have been detained in the investigation. The 4 suspects, who were taken into custody by law enforcement units in Uşak early this morning, are expected to be brought to Istanbul during the day and provide statements at the Financial Crimes Branch of the Istanbul Police Department.

The 13 people in custody, including Mayor Özkan Yalım, were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan following their procedures at the police station and health checks.
