New development in case of TikTok influencer who filmed shirtless video in mosque
TikTok content creator Emircan Y., who filmed the mosque video that dominated Turkey's agenda, has been referred to the courthouse.

A content creator on TikTok filming a video inside a mosque in İnegöl district of Bursa, shirtless from the waist up, and sharing it online sparked public outrage. According to information obtained, the footage shared on the social media platform TikTok showed that profanity-laden songs had been added to the video filmed inside the mosque.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AFTER THE FOOTAGE EMERGED
The individual in the footage, identified as Emircan Y. (17), was taken into custody by teams after the video spread. The video he filmed rapidly circulated across various social media platforms.
"I WASN'T AWARE, I'M SORRY"
It was learned that the suspect, who was taken into custody by teams from the İnegöl Police Department's Juvenile Bureau, stated in his testimony: "I filmed something like this for the first time. I wasn't aware. I didn't know there would be such a reaction. I'm sorry."
The suspect was referred to the courthouse following the completion of procedures at the police station.
