New development in the CHP money-counting investigation! Testified as a suspect...

The investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the money-counting footage allegedly filmed at the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters and shared on social media continues.

As part of the investigation, CHP Şişli Deputy Mayor Onur Öksel, who was identified in the footage and summoned to testify, arrived at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.

Öksel, who went to the prosecutor's floor, left the courthouse after giving his statement.

CHP MONEY-COUNTING INVESTIGATION

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an ex officio investigation into the footage shared on some social media accounts with the note, "Footage of Fatih Keleş counting stacks of money at the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters has emerged."

Within the scope of the investigation, IMM Sports Club President Fatih Keleş, former CHP Istanbul Provincial Vice President Özgür Nas, and former CHP Istanbul Provincial Press Advisor Can Poyraz were questioned by the prosecutor's office as suspects.

Keleş testified, "Ali Rıza Braka, who sold the CHP Istanbul provincial building, received the money at the law office."

As part of the investigation, Braka and Tuncay Yılmaz, General Manager of İmamoğlu Construction Company, were also questioned as suspects.

KAFTANCIOĞLU WAS ALSO SUMMONED TO TESTIFY

It has been learned that former CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Canan Kaftancıoğlu, who was mentioned by suspect Braka in his statement to the prosecutor as, "The process on behalf of the CHP was being managed by Canan Kaftancıoğlu, who was the Provincial Chair at that time. We signed the sales contract with her at the Beyoğlu 3rd Notary on November 6, 2019," has been summoned to testify as a suspect.
