New development in FETÖ operation against Maydanoz Döner
In a FETÖ operation targeting Maydanoz Döner, conducted in Samsun, Istanbul, and Ankara, 24 people—including dismissed police officers, dismissed soldiers, dismissed teachers, a dismissed prosecutor, and a retired religious affairs official—were detained. Seven of the suspects have been referred to the courthouse.

According to the information obtained, following the determination that the official or unofficial owners, partners, or first-degree relatives of the branches of the Maydanoz Döner business—which is owned by the Istanbul-based Somca Gıda Dağıtım ve Pazarlama Anonim Şirketi and operates through a franchise system—across Turkey had extensive links to FETÖ, a follow-up and investigation were initiated by the Samsun Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch and Intelligence Branch teams, under the coordination of the Samsun Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
During the 7-month planned investigation into "membership in the FETÖ armed terrorist organization and financing of the organization" targeting Maydanoz Döner and Kral Döner, which was found to have been opened by the same partners in Samsun, simultaneous operations were carried out on Tuesday morning in the İlkadım, Canik, Çarşamba, and Vezirköprü districts of Samsun, as well as in Istanbul and Ankara, to apprehend 23 individuals identified by a MASAK report as having been involved in money movements and criminal activities related to the offense, including dismissed police officers, dismissed soldiers, dismissed teachers, a dismissed prosecutor, and a retired religious affairs official. In the operation carried out by the Samsun Police Department KOM Branch teams, 24 people were apprehended and detained.
During the searches, numerous digital materials, including computers, mobile phones, memory cards, and SIM cards, were seized for examination. Additionally, 389 thousand 230 TL and 250 US dollars in cash, packaged separately, and 4 agendas containing records related to the crime were seized. While 3 people whose interrogations were completed at the Samsun Police Department were released, 7 people were referred to the Samsun Courthouse this morning. It was learned that the interrogations of 14 people are continuing at the police station and they will be referred to the Samsun Courthouse tomorrow.
