As search and rescue efforts continue for the 9 workers trapped under the landslide at the mine disaster in İliç, Erzincan, metal density has been detected in certain areas. Providing an update on the latest status of the search and rescue operations, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar stated, "We are intensively using all the technical resources at our disposal to identify the locations where our fellow workers might be. We have determined that 3 of the workers are in one location and 6 are in another."

Search efforts for the 9 workers who went missing following a landslide at the mine site in the village of Çöpler in the İliç district of Erzincan are continuing on their 4th day.
METAL DENSITY DETECTED IN CERTAIN AREAS
Metal density was detected in certain areas during searches conducted with technological devices. It was learned that teams have intensified their efforts in these regions.
In addition to the search efforts, teams have sent some of the soil samples taken from the mine site to the Environmental Reference Laboratory under the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change for analysis.
Entry and exit to the region are being managed in a controlled manner.
Work was initiated to find the 9 workers who went missing as a result of the landslide that occurred on February 13 in the region where the gold mine is located in the village of Çöpler in İliç.
MINISTER BAYRAKTAR: WORKER LOCATIONS IDENTIFIED
Providing an update on the latest status of the search and rescue efforts, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar stated the following:
"We are intensively using all the technical resources at our disposal to identify the locations where our fellow workers might be. We have determined that 3 of the workers are in one location and 6 are in another.
There is no situation that threatens public health or personnel. We are moving into a new phase today. We are transitioning to the stage of working on removing the soil pile. It may take months, but we will map out the roadmap for this process this afternoon. We will ensure the rehabilitation of this area. We have begun our research on where to safely store the removed soil. We are continuing to work intensively. Our primary priority is the rescue efforts.
