New development in the burned body case in Istanbul
When a fire was extinguished at a workplace in Bahçelievler, Istanbul, the burned body of a man with his hands tied behind his back was discovered. The Murder Bureau of the Public Security Branch, which launched an investigation into the matter, identified the body as 39-year-old Mustafa Bayraktar. One suspect has been detained in connection with the incident, which is believed to be a case where the victim was stabbed to death, tied up, and the workplace was then set on fire.

The incident occurred around 10:00 AM in the Kocasinan Merkez neighborhood of Bahçelievler, at a workplace used as a scrap warehouse. Neighbors who saw smoke coming from the workplace notified the fire department. Fire crews arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire at the workplace.
Teams conducting an inspection inside discovered a person's body. It was determined that the body, which belonged to a man with his hands tied behind his back, had cuts on the head and hands.
Following the examinations by the prosecutor and crime scene investigation teams, the body, which had no identification on it, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute.
IDENTITY OF THE BODY DETERMINED
Teams from the Murder Bureau of the Public Security Branch immediately launched an investigation into the matter. The investigation determined that the body belonged to 39-year-old Mustafa Bayraktar.
Murder Bureau detectives, who believe that Bayraktar was first stabbed and then set on fire at the workplace after his hands were tied, identified 1 suspect after reviewing camera footage.
SUSPECT DETAINED
Murder Bureau teams detained the suspect at an address in Bahçelievler.
The 22-year-old suspect, B.D., was taken to the Murder Bureau of the Public Security Branch for questioning. The police investigation into the incident is continuing from multiple angles.
