New development in the censorship of the Can Atalay decision in the TBMM records: 6 hours later

The deletion from the TBMM website's records of the section where CHP Clerk Member Sibel Suiçmez read the Constitutional Court's ruling on the "violation of rights" stating that the "process of revoking parliamentary membership is null and void" regarding Can Atalay, whose parliamentary membership was revoked during the General Assembly meeting chaired by TBMM Deputy Speaker Gülizar Biçer Karaca, sparked reactions.

The section where the ruling on the violation of rights was read initially appeared in the raw records published online by the TBMM, but was subsequently removed.

Following the reactions, the Constitutional Court's decision to reinstate Atalay to his post was added back to the record.

KADIGIL HAD REACTED

TİP MP Sera Kadıgil reacted to the "censorship" with the following words: “The section where the Constitutional Court ruling regarding Can Atalay was read does not currently appear in the final record.

I spoke with the record services to ask who decides to remove statements made by a Divan member under the instruction of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament while the General Assembly is open, and how they do it while the General Assembly is closed. They stated that it was a controversial moment and that the relevant section was under review to ensure there were no errors in the statements, and that it would be uploaded shortly. We are waiting.” The "censorship" was lifted hours later. 

Kadıgil, who tagged Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş—who had stated he would use his authority regarding the reading of the Constitutional Court decision on Can Atalay and had condemned Biçer Karaca and Suiçmez—in her post, used the following expressions in another post:

“It has been 5 hours since the General Assembly closed and 2 hours since I posted this tweet. The records are still INCOMPLETE. The section regarding Can Atalay’s Constitutional Court decision has still not been processed into the record. Yes, Mr. Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş; what is this disgrace? Did the relevant unit of Parliament lie to the MP who called to get information, or has someone become arrogant enough to openly prevent parliamentary staff from doing their jobs? Exactly what are you waiting for to complete those records that have been kept without omission for 102 YEARS?”

The section removed from the records was re-uploaded 6 hours later.
