New development in the Kübra Yapıcı murder: Body parts recovered

In the investigation into the fate of 30-year-old Kübra Yapıcı, who had been reported missing, human remains believed to belong to the young woman were recovered during a search conducted at the Korkuteli Dam in Antalya. The findings were identified in the Dereköy neighborhood section of the dam through the comprehensive efforts of gendarmerie, AFAD, and police teams.

SEARCH EFFORTS ACCELERATED AFTER SUSPECTS' CONFESSION

Following the statement of one of the suspects in custody, I.U.D., who claimed that they had burned Kübra Yapıcı's body and then dumped the remains into the dam reservoir, security forces launched a search in the area. The recovered parts were taken to the Bucak State Hospital morgue following an initial examination. The remains will be sent to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute for DNA matching.

Kübra Yapıcı had gone missing in the Serik district of Antalya on the night of April 30. The search efforts, initiated upon her family's report, were expanded through the joint work of the Serik, Manavgat, and Burdur public prosecutor's offices. Investigations revealed that the young woman was killed in a wooded area near Seydiköy in the Bucak district of Burdur. In connection with the incident, 22-year-old I.U.D. and A.B.S. were taken into custody by the teams. The investigation into their police processing and the clarification of all aspects of the incident is ongoing.
