The investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the armed attack in Kağıthane, which resulted in the death of 1 person and the injury of 2 others, is ongoing.
In this context, the details of the referral document prepared by the prosecutor's office for 3 of the 4 suspects, who were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse following their processing at the Istanbul Public Security Branch, have been obtained.
The referral document states that S.A., who is a suspect in the murder of the victim, entered Turkey on July 17, and the other suspects G.S. and T.S. entered on August 6. The document notes that S.A. rented a vehicle with the other suspects L.E.E. and M.A.H.M. one day before the act, and that L.E.E. provided the apartment where G.S., T.S., and S.A. stayed prior to the incident.
The document states that the suspects left the apartment where they were staying in the vehicle they rented at around 21:00, which was 1.5 hours before the act.
THEY CONDUCTED RECONNAISSANCE BEFORE THE ACT
The document, which states that the suspects wandered around the street where the attack would take place to conduct reconnaissance before the act, notes that they later switched to another vehicle, and that the vehicle they left was taken to Avcılar and waited there for the suspects to flee after the act.
The referral document explains that after the act, the suspects switched to a vehicle waiting for them under the Hasdal Road Okmeydanı viaduct, traveled with this vehicle to the Silivri Alipaşa area, and burned the vehicle there.
THE SUSPECTS CHANGED VEHICLES
The document states that after the vehicle was burned, the suspects switched to another vehicle waiting for them, and traveled with this vehicle to the Dereköy Border Gate.
The document notes that suspects G.S., T.S., and S.A. crossed into Bulgaria, while the other suspects L.E.E. and M.A.H.M. left the vehicle near the border and returned to Istanbul by taxi.
The document states that the suspects who came to Istanbul called suspect P.Y. and asked him to drop them off in Sapanca, and that the suspect took these 2 people to Sapanca and then returned to Istanbul.
