New development in the 'Vanlı Kara Haydar' investigation: Çağla Öz also arrested

The investigation initiated by the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into Mehmet Fatih Tançalan for the crime of "laundering assets derived from crime" in connection with posts made on social media platforms is ongoing.

In this context, the procedures at the Van Police Department for Çağla Öz Tançalan, who was taken into custody, as well as S.A., the owner of the house where the gold was found, and Mehmet Fatih Tançalan's mother-in-law N.O. and cousin M.T., have been completed.

WHAT HAPPENED?

As part of the investigation, teams from the Van Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch had taken Mehmet Fatih Tançalan into custody at his home in the Muradiye district of Van on September 8.

A financial investigation process was initiated regarding the large amount of gold stated to have been gifted at the wedding of Tançalan, who was taken to the police station, as well as images reflected on social media, and an examination was requested from the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK).

The suspect, who was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station, was arrested by the judgeship on the charge of "laundering assets derived from crime."

The jewelry and money gifted to his wife, Çağla Öz Tançalan, at Tançalan's wedding were seized during a search conducted in a house and its annexes in Muradiye on September 12, and the owner of the house was taken into custody.

Çağla Öz Tançalan, who was taken into custody two days ago by teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch, was brought to Van yesterday.
