Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek, who is being held at the Döşemealtı L-Type High-Security Closed Penal Institution as part of an investigation into allegations of corruption and bribery, was brought to Antalya City Hospital early this morning due to a health issue.
It was learned that Muhittin Böcek was taken to the hospital due to a stomach ailment, and Gendarmerie teams implemented strict security measures within the hospital.
Following an endoscopy and medical examinations performed while under sedation, Muhittin Böcek was taken back to the Döşemealtı L-Type High-Security Closed Penal Institution where he is being held in custody.
