New developments in TUSAŞ terror attack: Identities of the martyrs and the wounded have been revealed

A terror attack was carried out against the facilities of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 5 citizens were martyred and 22 people were wounded in the attack.

CENGİZ COŞKUN WAS A FATHER OF ONE

It was determined that the martyred quality control officer Cengiz Coşkun was registered to the Hıdırlık village of the Divriği district in Sivas. It was learned that his family members have been residing in Ankara for a long time.

TUSAŞ Mechanical Engineer Zahide Güçlü and TUSAŞ quality control officer Cengiz Coşkun lost their lives at Yenimahalle Training and Research Hospital.

It was learned that Güçlü was wounded while going down to the security gate to receive the wedding anniversary flowers sent by her husband, and that she passed away at the hospital.

TUSAŞ employee Hasan Hüseyin Canbaz and security guard Atakan Şahin Erdoğan lost their lives at the TUSAŞ infirmary.

Taxi driver Murat Arslan was found dead in the trunk of his taxi at the scene.

In the attack, a total of 5 police officers were wounded, including one chief superintendent and one commissioner. According to the information provided by Minister Yerlikaya, 7 special operations police officers who carried out the operation were also wounded. Among the wounded is also a technical draftsman from TUSAŞ.

Those wounded in the attack were taken for treatment at Yenimahalle Training and Research, Etlik and Bilkent City Hospitals, İbni Sina Hospital, Hacettepe and Gazi Universities, and Kahramankazan City Hospitals.

IDENTITY OF THE TAXI DRIVER HAS BEEN REVEALED

It was revealed that the name of the taxi driver killed by the terrorists was Murat Arslan. Arslan worked at the Kazan Arslan Taxi stand. The taxi stand was 12 kilometers away from the TUSAŞ facility.

Around 15:00, the terrorists posed as a couple and arrived at the Kazan Arslan Taxi stand, which is operated by 3 brothers and located 12 kilometers away from TUSAŞ. The terrorists said they wanted to go to the city center.

The male terrorist sat next to Murat Arslan, while the female terrorist sat in the back seat. The female terrorist had the vehicle stopped in a secluded area under the pretext of smoking, and killed the taxi driver Arslan with a weapon she pulled from her bag.

The male terrorist placed Arslan in the back seat, took the wheel, and continued on the road. The Kazan Arslan Taxi stand was operated by three brothers.
