New Discounts Coming for Retirees! Critical Date Announced

Republican People's Party (CHP) Deputy Chairman for Local Governments Gökan Zeybek shared important information regarding the "Retiree Public Card" initiative that will be implemented. Zeybek stated that in addition to the coordinated efforts being carried out with metropolitan municipalities, they will also hold a meeting with provincial municipalities.

Zeybek expressed that the software processes for the application are ongoing and that full consensus has been reached in meetings held with municipalities. Noting that a simultaneous meeting was held with metropolitan municipalities in recent days, Zeybek announced that they will meet with provincial mayors in Çanakkale on the 11th and 12th of this month.

Emphasizing that the application needs to be implemented quickly, Zeybek stated that the "Retiree Public Card" is of great importance for retirees to sustain their lives. Zeybek said, "We hope to get a positive result from this application by the end of October."

For example, when someone who is a retiree in Istanbul comes to visit their child in Ankara, they will be able to use that 'Retiree Card' there as well. With the Retiree Card, which will be valid all over Turkey, retirees will be able to shop at the butcher, benefit from discounts on natural gas and water, and will also receive cash support.
