New DNA samples taken from uncle's vehicle in missing Narin case: 'The case is locked at this point'
While efforts continue to find Narin Güran, who has been missing in Diyarbakır since August 21, her uncle, the village headman Salim Güran, had been arrested. As the search for the little girl continues, police have taken new DNA samples from the detained uncle's vehicle.

Search efforts for Narin are ongoing. Most recently, a search was conducted in a cemetery using underground imaging equipment.
The investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the matter also continues. Within the scope of this investigation, 2nd and 3rd DNA samples were taken from the vehicle of Narin's detained uncle, Salim Güran.
Reporter Ferit Demir conveyed the latest developments regarding Narin Güran on a live Halk TV broadcast:
"There is intensive work on the ground and from the air over Tavşantepe. The village is being searched thoroughly. There is an incredible effort. The answer to the question 'What happened to Narin?' has still not been found. According to the latest situation, Uncle Salim Güran met with his lawyer for the first time yesterday.
A DNA sample had been taken from the car last Friday, but forensic experts have taken samples again from every part of the car. The case is locked at this point.
The village's sewage system will be inspected with a camera system developed by TÜBİTAK. Efforts are being made to reach every point that could not be entered.
The work carried out from the hour Narin Güran went missing until today is being repeated every day.
In the first week, there were 3 possibilities. The 1st possibility was that Narin could have gotten lost on her own. That possibility has now been eliminated. Currently, the focus is on the 2nd and 3rd possibilities. Narin was either the victim of a murder or she was kidnapped. Now experts are working on these possibilities. If the data on Salim Güran's phone can be recovered, this knot will be untied."
