A 22-article legislative proposal prepared by AKP deputies, which includes new regulations for the judiciary, is expected to be submitted to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) this week.
'UPON THE REQUEST OF ONE OF THE SPOUSES...'
The proposal will include provisions regarding notaries, divorce cases, and judicial processes in the appellate courts.
According to the proposal, one year after the finalization of a decision to reject a divorce case, if the common life has not been re-established, the marital union will be considered fundamentally shaken, and a divorce may be granted upon the request of one of the spouses.
