Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the "Empty Seat Tracking Button" service has been launched as part of the digitalization efforts of TCDD Transportation Inc.

With the new application, passengers who cannot find tickets on trains will be able to register their email addresses through the system. In the event of a seat becoming vacant due to cancellation, refund, or other reasons, an automatic notification will be sent to the passengers.

Uraloğlu stated that the application will reduce the need for passengers to constantly check the ticket sales screen, saying, "Our passengers who cannot find tickets will be informed systematically and automatically if a seat becomes available due to returns, cancellations, or other reasons."

Minister Uraloğlu also reported that the transition to the e-Invoice and e-Ticket system was completed as of September 1, 2026, as part of digitalization steps. Accordingly, citizens will be able to access their e-Tickets via the PDF link in the "Journey Information" message sent to their email addresses after the ticket transaction.

Stating that corporate and individual customers can access their invoices in a digital environment, Uraloğlu expressed that the system provides time and cost savings in documentation, delivery, and storage processes.

Uraloğlu also emphasized that the reduction in the need for paper, printing, and physical archiving contributes to the environment. The Minister announced that approximately 286 thousand e-tickets and 1,554 e-invoices were issued in the first 4 days of the application.
