The incident in the Duatepe neighborhood of Istanbul's Şişli district began when O.Ç., who was collecting items from trash containers in the area in the morning, noticed a suspicious bag. Suspecting something was wrong after the bag felt warm to the touch, O.Ç. discovered a woman's body inside.

INFORMANT FOUND TO HAVE 6 CRIMINAL RECORDS

It was revealed that O.Ç., who went to the police station to report the situation as soon as he noticed it, had six previous criminal records.

Police and crime scene investigation teams dispatched to the area upon the report cordoned off the surroundings and launched a detailed investigation. While the street in Şişli was closed off with security tape, teams accelerated their evidence collection efforts.

The body recovered from the scene was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute. As a result of fingerprint analysis, it was confirmed that the deceased woman was Uzbek citizen Durdona Khakımova. Initial findings indicated numerous cut marks on the young woman's body.

As the investigation deepened, two suitcases left next to another trash container on Bozkurt Street, two streets away from the scene, were found. The findings in the suitcases were treated as evidence by the police and taken to the police department for examination.

Furthermore, witness statements have added a new dimension to the file. Information provided by a witness who saw two bearded men waiting with a suitcase near the trash container on the evening of the incident has led police teams to launch an intensive effort to identify the suspects.

Within the scope of the investigation initiated ex officio by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, police units are working to clarify all aspects of the incident. Municipal teams carried out cleaning and disinfection procedures at the scene.

The investigation continues in multiple directions to determine how the murder was committed and to confirm the identities of the suspects.
