Security camera footage regarding the cable car disaster in Antalya has emerged. According to the records, passengers who disembarked from a cabin 5 minutes before the disaster warned the staff, stating there was a problem with the cables. The staff shut down the system but restarted it 25 seconds later. However, 50 seconds after the cable car was restarted, the cabin carrying lawyer Memiş Gümüş and his family collided with a pole because it could not pass the cable, resulting in the accident.

Ten days have passed since the cable car disaster at the Tünektepe Cable Car in Antalya. Following the tragedy, in which lawyer Memiş Gümüş lost his life and 17 others were injured, 5 people, including CHP Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz, were arrested and sent to prison.

According to Saymaz, the following events took place in the five minutes leading up to the cable car accident:

17.15: Assistant operator Suphi Kaplan goes up to the area at the upper station where the cables and pulleys are located. He checks the system that moves the cable. Seeing nothing negative, he goes back down.

17.17,41: Lawyer Memiş Gümüş, his wife, their sons, and relatives board cable car number 28 at the upper station.

17.20,11: A passenger in a purple t-shirt gets off cabin number 22 at the upper station and warns the staff.

17.20,40: Operator Serkan Yellice enters the lower control room while talking on his mobile phone.

17.40,44: Suphi Kaplan heads to the upper control room. He talks to Yellice on the phone and looks at the PLC screen showing the faults. Three passengers explain to the staff that there is a problem with the cable car.

17.21: Three young people who got off cabin number 21 explain the problem with the cable car to the staff. The passenger in the purple t-shirt tells the upper station staff something. At the 37th second of the same minute, the passenger in the purple t-shirt, now wearing a black jacket over his clothes, enters the control room and warns Suphi Kaplan.

50 SECONDS LATER... Operator Serkan Yellice stops the cable car for 25 seconds following the warnings.
