New footage released of secret tunnels discovered in Istanbul!

Footage of secret tunnels discovered beneath Istanbul has been shared. Mahir Polat, Deputy Secretary General of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), who shared the images, stated, "We are sharing with you the first images of the area that we will soon share with the public."

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Heritage teams announced that secret passages were found during restoration work at Rumeli Fortress.

IBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat shared new footage regarding the secret tunnels in question.

Sharing on his X account, Polat stated, “A magnificent discovery worthy of the 571st anniversary of the Conquest… We have uncovered secret passages running beneath Rumeli Fortress. We are sharing with you the first images of the area that we will soon share with the public. Our restoration of Rumeli Fortress continues.”
