The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry added new products to its "Foods That May Endanger Health" list, which it updated on May 23, 2025. This update was carried out as part of the inspections conducted against imitated and adulterated products.
It was reported that a drug active ingredient was detected in some coffee and paste products sold as "herbal". In particular, the 'Vıejo Resveratrol Mozambique' branded coffee from Gold İlaç Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi was among the products exposed in this context.
It was stated that this product contained a drug active ingredient. Furthermore, it was stated that a drug active ingredient was also detected in the 'Bolld Extra' branded herbal mixture chocolate produced by the company Centuar Gıda İlaç Kozmetik ve Kuyumculuk.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry emphasized that such products threaten public health and announced that inspections will continue to increase.
