New members determined at RTÜK

In the elections held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Ebubekir Şahin and İlhan Taşçı were elected to the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) for a second term, while Necdet İpekyüz was elected for the first time.

In the elections held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Ebubekir Şahin and İlhan Taşçı were elected to the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) for a second term, while Necdet İpekyüz was elected for the first time.

The agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey included the RTÜK membership elections.

Elections were held in the General Assembly for one seat each allocated to the quotas of the AKP, CHP, and the Green Left Party.

CHAIRMANSHIP ELECTION ON OCTOBER 18

In the voting conducted by members of parliament in the TBMM General Assembly, Ebubekir Şahin, nominated from the AKP quota, İlhan Taşçı, nominated from the CHP quota, and Necdet İpekyüz, nominated from the Green Left Party quota, were elected as the new RTÜK members.

Accordingly, Ebubekir Şahin and İlhan Taşçı became RTÜK members for the second time, while Necdet İpekyüz became a member for the first time.

Following the official start of the new members' terms, the election for the Chairmanship of the Radio and Television Supreme Council will be held on October 18.
