The menu at the tea houses located in the government and opposition lobbies of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey has been updated. New items have been added to the menu in line with the requests of members of parliament. With the machine installed in the parliamentary lobbies, products such as filter coffee, latte, americano, and espresso are now being served to members of parliament in addition to Turkish coffee.

According to the report by Osman Nuri Cerit from Sputnik, these products are offered exclusively to members of parliament. While the prices of the products have not been disclosed to the public, they are billed to the members of parliament collectively. As the menu change is recent, most members of parliament have not yet tasted these products, though coffee enthusiasts among the deputies were the first to learn of the change.

WHAT WAS ON THE MENU?

Previously, only tea, Turkish coffee, herbal tea, and mineral water were served in the lobbies. During the winter months, salep was also sold.
