New move from ABB! Free transportation on rail systems
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has granted free transportation access to the 62-64 age group on rail systems as well. The new regulation will begin on July 1 and will be valid during specific time intervals.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) has expanded the scope of its free public transportation program for citizens aged 62-64. According to the new regulation, citizens in this age group will be able to benefit from free travel not only on EGO buses but also on rail systems starting July 1, 2025.
TIME-BASED SYSTEM IMPLEMENTED
The hours for free transportation have been set to exclude morning peak hours. Accordingly, both buses and metro and other rail systems will be free between 10:00–16:00 and 19:00–24:00.
In Ankara, citizens over the age of 65 can already benefit from all public transportation vehicles free of charge at any time of the day.
