New President of the Aegean Municipalities Union determined following Ferdi Zeyrek

Following the passing of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, the General Assembly of the Aegean Municipalities Union was held at the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Council Meeting Hall upon the call of the İzmir Governorship.

At the meeting chaired by Acıpayam Mayor Levent Yıldırım, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu was nominated for the presidency.

As a result of the vote, Çavuşoğlu was unanimously elected as the new president of the Aegean Municipalities Union.
