New prosecutor appointed to Dilan-Engin Polat investigation
Following the reassignment of prosecutor Gökalp Kökçü, who was leading the Dilan Polat-Engin Polat investigation, to Erzurum, it has been learned that prosecutor Ahmet Çolak has been assigned to follow the case.

On November 5, 2023, famous influencer Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat, along with 14 others, were arrested and sent to prison on charges of money laundering.
Following the reassignment of Gökalp Kökçü, who was overseeing the Polat case, to Erzurum, there was curiosity regarding which prosecutor would be assigned to the file.
NEW PROSECUTOR IDENTIFIED
A prosecutor has been appointed to replace Kökçü. Ahmet Çolak has been assigned to the case in which the Polat family is accused of money laundering.
Meanwhile, two separate prosecutors have also been appointed to the Tuzlaspor and Özlem Öz-Tayyar Öz investigations, which were two other critical files handled by Gökalp Kökçü.
WHAT ARE DİLAN POLAT AND ENGİN POLAT ACCUSED OF?
The Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation on November 5, 2023, into suspects including Dilan Polat and Engin Polat on charges of establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, money laundering, and violating tax laws.
A preliminary investigation report was prepared by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) regarding the digital materials and ledgers seized during searches conducted at their companies.
According to the report, 200 million Turkish Lira was detected entering the family members' companies through the method of issuing fake invoices from three companies currently in liquidation.
The trial of Dilan-Engin Polat and the 14 individuals accompanying them is ongoing.
