New regulation for notaries on Parliament's agenda

A legislative proposal containing new regulations for the judiciary continues to be debated in Parliament. The proposal includes details regarding the working procedures and principles of notaries, as well as transaction security.

A legislative proposal containing new regulations for the judiciary is on Parliament's agenda. The proposal also includes regulations for notaries. Procedures and principles regarding the work of notaries will be established.

Notary fees and other transaction expenses may be collected in cash or by using bank cards and credit cards.

The notary fee schedule will be regulated at the beginning of January each year instead of March.

Notary transactions prepared by handwritten signature will be recorded in the information system of the Notaries Union of Türkiye using a secure electronic signature. This aims to make transactions more secure.

The proposal, which has been submitted to the Speaker of Parliament, will be discussed in the Justice Commission on Tuesday, October 22. Following the commission's work, it will be debated in the General Assembly.
