The AKP is working on a new regulation to reduce rising divorce rates and strengthen the institution of the family. According to a report by the pro-government Türkiye Gazetesi, not only health checks but also psychological evaluations and pre-marital training will become mandatory for couples who wish to marry.

PROBLEMS WILL BE IDENTIFIED IN ADVANCE

Within the scope of the prepared plan, a counseling mechanism will be established for couples. Through this system, it is aimed to identify potential problems that may arise before marriage at an early stage and prevent ill-fated unions. Furthermore, it is stated that the support process will continue after marriage, providing guidance to couples experiencing disagreements.

GUIDANCE IN CASE OF DIVORCE

The project will not be limited to the pre-marital period. It is also planned to provide proper guidance to couples entering the divorce process. Party sources state that the psychosocial support system will ensure transparency and honesty between couples, placing relationships on a more solid foundation.

WORKSHOP TO BE HELD IN ERZURUM

The first step to rapidly implement the project will be taken in Erzurum. Led by the AKP Women's Branch, the "In-Family Digital Education and Psychosocial Support Workshop" to be held on Friday will be attended by experts from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Family and Social Services, as well as academics.
