A new statement on the subject has come from the DEM Party.

"THEY ARE EXPECTED TO TAKE STEPS IN LINE WITH CONGRESS DECISIONS"

The following statements were included in the announcement made by the DEM Party Press Office:

"As you know, we are experiencing important and historic days that signify a new phase in the 'Peace and Democratic Society Process'. In this context, a group of PKK members is expected to take steps in line with congress decisions during an event to be held in the territory of the Kurdistan Regional Government in the coming days. Our party, which has assumed a facilitating role since the beginning of the process, has invited a limited number of columnists (a quota of 15-20 people) to observe this event. The writers, NGO representatives, and political party representatives we have invited will be taken to the Kurdistan Region under our party's organization.

There is no obstacle for other members of the press to observe the event. All members of the press who wish to observe this event, which will take place with the knowledge of the government, will be able to do so by their own means. Journalist friends who will observe this event must notify us of their names to avoid any difficulties. The information of every journalist who notifies us of their name, the institution they work for, a photo of their press card, phone number, and email address will be shared with the Kurdistan Regional Government authorities for accreditation."
